You absorb up to 64% of what you put on your skin, make sure you know what is in your products!

I want to write a blog on blogging…I know it is important for the success of one’s business, and I love to share information, so it should be a marriage made in heaven!  But to stay on topic – one topic to be more exact – and not be overly verbose, this will be the challenge.

I start with Argan Oil, one of nature’s finest oils, and one that many people have recently become familiar with.  It has so many uses – but the primary reasons I include it in my products are that I love the process through which the oil is obtained and that women are empowered in the process.  There are some great articles on the subject – I recommend reading up on how it is helping local economies and the ecosystem in Morocco.  It is a dry oil so it helps all formulations absorb better, and it contains:tocopherols (vitamin E), phenols, carotenes, squalene, and fatty acids.  It is exceptional when used on hair or skin.

And the Moroccans have a fabulous culinary use for the byproduct – I want to try it!  Amlou, a thick brown paste with a consistency similar to peanut butter, is produced by grinding roasted almond and argan oil using stones, mixed with honey and is used locally as a bread dip.  I love when you can eat the stuff you put on your body – that is the sort of purity you want in your cosmetics!
